My earliest professional positions were developing graphic and publishing software. I humbly had a job laser printing direct mail (aka Junk Mail) between my High School graduation and starting at University. But a better answer is that started working with fonts on a laser printer the size of a small SUV in the fall of 1981. What do I know about Fonts? Inkscape? TinkerCAD? Enough to be dangerous.
